Manual Statement
Feature Overview
⚠ OPTIONAL FEATURE
Manual Statement is not enabled by default. It must be manually added to the account by a developer or admin before it can be used.
What Is Manual Statement?
Manual Statement creates or refreshes a billing statement for a patient. It can be run on a patient record to generate a brand new statement, or on an existing statement to update it with the latest billing data. When you trigger this action, a small prompt will appear asking you to choose a statement type before it runs.
How to Use It
- Select the patient or statement you want to prepare.
- Trigger the Manual Statement action.
- A window will pop up asking you to choose a Statement Type from a dropdown list.
- Select the appropriate type and click Submit. Click Cancel to exit without making any changes.
- A message will confirm the result.
What Happens Depending on What You Selected
If you selected a Patient:
- A new statement is created if the patient has outstanding charges.
- If there is nothing new to bill, you will be notified that no new charges are due.
- If a statement cannot be created for another reason, a message will explain why.
If you selected an existing Statement:
- The statement is refreshed with the latest billing data.
- This only works if the statement is in New Statement or Credit Review status. Statements in any other status cannot be re-prepared.
- If the patient has since paid in full and the statement is no longer needed, it will automatically be voided.
- You will always see a message at the end confirming what happened.
