Elation Resync
Feature Overview
⚠ OPTIONAL FEATURE
Elation Resync is not enabled by default. This feature requires an active Elation integration to be configured on your account by a developer or system administrator before it can be used.
What Is Elation Resync?
Elation Resync is a tool that pulls the latest data from your Elation EHR (Electronic Health Records) system and updates your local records to match. If information in Elation has changed — such as a patient's details, a billing claim, or a provider record — this feature lets you refresh that data on demand without waiting for a scheduled sync.
What Can Be Resynced?
Elation Resync works on three types of records:
- Billing Claims — Re-fetches the latest billing data for a specific visit from Elation.
- Patients — Refreshes patient demographic and account information from Elation.
- Providers — Updates physician/provider details from Elation.
How It Works
When Elation Resync is triggered on a record, it:
- Verifies that your account has an active, authorized Elation connection.
- Identifies the type of record selected (claim, patient, or provider).
- Sends a request to Elation to retrieve the most up-to-date version of that record.
- Saves the refreshed data locally so your system reflects the latest information.
Important Notes
- If the Elation integration is not authorized on your account, the resync will silently skip — no data will be updated.
- A record will only be resynced if it has a matching ID linked to Elation. Records without an Elation connection will be skipped.
- This feature does not push data to Elation — it only pulls data from Elation into your system.
Getting Access
This feature must be manually enabled by a developer or system administrator. It requires an Elation integration user to be configured and authorized on your account. Contact your admin or support team to request access.
