Account Assignment Security
Feature Overview
⚠ OPTIONAL FEATURE
Account Assignment Security is not enabled by default. It must be manually added to the account by a developer or admin before it can be used.
What Is Account Assignment Security?
Account Assignment Security is a read-only summary panel that gives administrators a clear picture of what a user can and cannot do within the account. It shows the roles assigned to a user and a detailed breakdown of their individual access privileges — all in one place.
What You Can See
The panel displays two key areas:
- Roles — The roles currently assigned to the user, scoped to this account. Only roles that are active and linked to the account are shown.
- Privileges — A full breakdown of what the user is allowed to do, grouped by source. This covers:
— User-level access (permissions specific to this person)
— Class security (what types of records they can view or edit)
— Action security (which actions they are allowed to perform)
— Permission status (whether access is granted or restricted)
What You Can Do
From this panel, administrators have two action buttons:
- Roles — Opens the User Role Assignments screen where you can manage which roles are assigned to the user.
- Modify User Access — Opens a dialog to directly adjust the user's individual access settings. The button label changes based on context — for example, it will read "Modify Group Access" when viewing a security group, or "Modify Context Access" for a security context.
Expand / Collapse
The privileges list can be expanded or collapsed by group using the Expand All / Collapse All button in the top right of the panel. This makes it easier to scan through a long list of permissions.
Getting Access
